A co-worker wanted me to take some pictures of his drag car. For 1 shot, I decided to try a HDR. Here's the result.

Sweet looking Vega Randy. The processing kind of grows on me. ;)
I had two Vega's in the past. One was stock, and one had a built 327 in it, along with various other drive train mods.
Those were fun cars that are getting hard to find now days.
Nice work, and thanks for the memories. :)
BTW, Love the name on the car. Very fitting.

This car brings back lots of memories....I always had Camaros but a couple of friends had V8 Vegas, which were always scary fast and not known for turning very well :)

Yes, not bad. But cars are supposed to be shiny & the Vega looks like it's been sprayed with a matte coat?

which were always scary fast and not known for turning very well

Yeah! Life in the fast lane wasn't always perfect? :D

Mine handled pretty decent considering the difference in weight of the engines. I kind of thought of mine as a mini Camaro. A real adrenalin rush to drive. ;)

Well done, I had a 1973GT with a 327 +.030, powerglide tranny and 308 rear end! I'm looking for another one to build up. Thanks for sharing it...

Maybe it has? The matt finish is quite popular in the modding scene.

Like silver cars, it would sure make them easier to shoot? :D

Thanks form all the comments!
Andy: No, I didn't get to drive it.
Frank C: The car is painted with primer. Gray w/black stripes.
Besides drag racing in the summer, he also ice races this car in the winter.

Definately is the new thing......cars aren't all supposed to be 'shiney' anymore.

Looks good!
