I use print screen to capture image and then use paint inorder to downsize the file to the limit imposed. In this process I observed that I lost a lot of picture quality and lighting. I will appreciate your advise on this.

For a start there are some reasonable camera software packages that will help as an introduction and then there is Photoshop which can be quite technical for depending ones ability.
