Here are 3 from this afternoon. I attended the annual Bikes, Blues & BBQ motorcycle rally parade and got these 2 photographers. The 3rd picture is a closer shot of one photographer's rig.

Me shortly after being knocked down by a stray volleyball the other day. I was laughing at myself/still in shock that I swatted the ball away from myself using the lens hood.

I know... It was atleast better than dropping the camera to hit the ball away with my hands. Plus I didn't feel like trying to ead butt it.

I wish I could say thanks to that, but they are actually a friend of mines. I was pretty jealous of the strobe set up that he had.

Thanks for the support. Currently I am not to worried about the strobes because the gym is pretty bright with out them. I am more worried about getting my school work done to graduate ect. New camera stuff sure would be nice though.

Is it just me, or is this guys hood on backwards?

thats how most hoods sit when they arent being used. it doesnt protrude paste the frotn of the lens.

He's using strobes and shooting at ISO 3200?

My son the other day. I'll have to look at his shots, I think he got one of me too.

Yea, I was talking to him about it and he said he is doing that so that he can stop down for a smaller depth of field. In my opinion it defeats the purpose of the strobes. Also another reason I don't plan on getting a set of strobes is because the gym is easily ISO 1600, f2.8, 1/320-400 with out any additional lighting.
