This guy was taking pictures of himself for about 30mins, he was trying to get himself and a car on the track behind him but every time he'd set his camera up, someone would walk through his background forcing him to retake...

Coincidence, but I have that same little tripod. You would think it's junk, but believe it or not, it holds my 40D and 70-200/4 on my desk just fine. :)

Hehe! Reminds me of that Sisyphus guy from Greek mythology who was condemded to roll a stone up the top of a hill. Every time he made it to the top, that sucker just rolled back down again and he had to start all over. I imagine this photog felt the same way. :D

Atleast he's using Canon ;)

That kid will shoot anything, from a picture of a photo on a wall, anything that's on the TV to some decent shots of other people. :)

I don't think that little tripod was designed to sit on the top rail of a fence. I can sympathize with his people problem though. This past Saturday I went to a motorcycle rally and never got any decent pictures because there were so many people and they kept walking between me and my subjects. I finally gave up and went home.

That lens hood must be ridiculously heavy for the tripod mount to be so far forward.

Or, maybe it's all the big glass in the front of the lens.

Here's one from the closing ceremony of the Michigan 3-Day walk to raise funds for breast cancer research. My wife (a breast cancer survivor) and I walked the entire 60 miles. it was a very, very touching and emotional weekend, and the 3000+ walkers raised more than $7.2 million. It's not too late to donate. See my link.
