[removed links]

excess photos converted to links. There's an 8-photo (per photog.) limit per thread on POTN. Please observe it. Putting each photo in its own post doesn't change this.

Jon

EDIT:
Ah, I never really read/knew that; sorry! -- Point taken! This just looked like another "show us your wife" or "show us your [whatever]" to me.

I'll go back and delete posts now; save you some time.

Jon

This is for the photo sharing section, which we are not in.

From the rules:

In other forums:

you may exceed above photo sharing limits, but only if discussion requires it (e.g. lens test examples, more problem example photos, competitions).

Yeah, because that would be a lot of photos to convert to links and funny how it's neer been done before.

Not to mention, I'd probably just stop posting.

And I'll refer you to the part you quoted where it says "only if discussion requires it". A string of 10 photos in a row, that avoided the automatic cutoff at 8 posts only because posts were made 1 photo at a time and 2 other people posted during the time they were being submitted individually, is excessive.

sorry I just had to step out in the middle of writing this response(started 45 mins ago)
... Jon... I have to go with Swamp on this one. I think it would be curtious for someone to only post say 8 at a time/in a row, thus giving others a chance to throw in their pics. but this whole thread is about sharing

that's my thoughts on it.

Edit: Yep got run over. you have a good point there Jon, I accept that. it fits with my thoughts on the matter...

Crap! Thanks for the refresher. I realize, now, that I inadvertently violated this rule a couple of weeks ago .

Jon,

Could you give us an idea or guideline as to what kind of "time limit" there might be in the 8 photo per thread rule?

For example, in this thread, would more than 8 per week be a violation?
