I'm sorry, I still don't see it. We evidently have different senses of humour.

Gonna have to go with you here Roy, I dun get it really either.

He looks awestruck with the sheer size of the lens the lady in front of him has. The beer-gut and the way his left hand is pointed backwards - I just find that humorous.

I guess maybee...He isss leaning back a little like "Woah!" But other than that slight hint, it looks like he is just standing there waiting.

I am Henry. NOT Hank. And certainly not a length of rope tied in a knot. ;)
My family calls me Hen, but you can call me Chicken. See you out there!

No idea what he was shooting, as I couldn't see anything in the direction the camera was pointing. I came across this post a few days ago and then seeing this guy reminded me of it, so here he is....

I saw this guy down at Pike Place holding his camera up in the air to take a picture of him and his lady friend. Gotta love the Myspace angles :)

Some photographers at the Chinese New Year celebrations in London

A photographer leans out of a car park window to get a clear shot of the lion dance.

A young woman stands on a fountain to snap the stage performers.

A photographer in the crowd notices that my camera is pointing in his direction.

This young woman, toting an L lens (the 24-70, I think), waits for her next shot.

I think this guy is shooting with the EF 70-200mm f/2.8 L IS USM lens.

One of the stage presenters (Theresa or Yvonne, I don't know which), takes a picture of the crowd.

All the little white specks in the foreground are point and shoot screens:

i'm going to go one step further and correct it to:

24-105mm f/4L IS and 70-200mm f/4L (non-IS)

i think the switch panel on the IS version is larger and slightly farther back on the barrel. :p

Well there's only one 24-105L, and IS is implied. Can't say I'm certain on the 70-200 whether it's IS or not, it's been ages since I saw my 70-200 f/4 IS. ;)

oh, i didn't mean to say anything about your identification of the 24-105. but.. i think we've hit a new low in dorkiness by trying to analyze photos of other people's equipment. hahaha, we're awesome. :D

Too bad the camera's angled away from us... If it was angled toward us there would be a telltale sign if it's the IS or not... The IS has the rubber gasket! :p

Actually, looking at it again, it looks like it's angled close enough that you can see the metal on the mount. Non-IS it is.

i was mostly basing it off of the panel that houses the switches behind the focus ring.

left to right: f/4L, f/4L IS, f/2.8L, f/2.8L IS

the one in the image looks thin and noticeably closer to to the focus ring than the zoom ring. i think that's about the only really tell tale difference that is visible from the angle we're given. ;)
