and you don't realign it before you shoot? :p

Of course I do, if there's time. But missing the right moment because you were f^&%ing around with your lens hood would be stupid.

Or people who don't want heavy vignetting from their lens hoods in their photos.

+1

yea, i only pointed it out because my old FD lens hoods lock into that same exact angle if they're mounted improperly. it's not a matter of it getting bumped around, just improper usage. whether or not the tamrons also allow you to lock them into position in that manner i can't say for sure, but i just thought it looked a little silly. i'm not trying to start a debate over whether it's acceptable to do so; it was merely an observation. :)

A couple of random, non-POTN shooters we saw during the Pacific NW POTN Meet-up yesterday in Portland. It was a beautiful day, so that seem to bring out folks with their cameras.

QUOTED IMAGE

nothing like a little wood in your camera's construction to give the pictures that "lived in" look.

I seem to remember seeing a image of about 10-15 Canon long lenses all in a line and on try tripods at an airshow. The lenses ranged from 300mm 2.8 to the 600 F4. Anyone got the image.

Wow, you don't see many people using bellows cameras anymore. They sure do give fantastic results though.
