Shooting the sunrise? Why is the second one shooting downwards (and don't say that's because that's where the sun comes from!):D

He was probably shooting the waves/rocks. He had a Sigma 10-20mm F4-5.6 on his 7D, so even at that angle, he may have caught some of the horizon in the frame.
