I use a standard POTN optech, but I'm a pretty big guy 6'2", I want one that hangs a little lower and that I can put around on my side like a messenger bag style. Anyone have any suggestions?

OpTech also do a strap that's longer than the POTN one.

Look on their website for details.

That’s how I carry my camera.
I have POTN strap with Webbing connectors:

You can also try BlackRapid, but from what I’ve read, the neck part is not as comfortable as POTN (OpTech) strap.

What we see depends mainly on what we look for.

Thanks guys, guess the connectors are in my future, they're cheap and seem to work great huh?
Cool

I use a domke gripper QR strap on all my cameras. Im 6'1 and it lets it hang low enough for me. I dont know exactly how low youre going for though.

So Nick you can just use the E-1 with plenty of room huh:p ?

So Adam, will that Domke fit on like, messenger style and not be too tight,I don't need it saggin' super low but when I have two bodies it's nice to have one on each side.

I had the exact same problem with the POTN strap. I bought the extensions which do make it a lot nicer, but still I hated having that heavy camera equipment around my neck for hours. I've been using the blackrapid strap now for a couple of months. This is the best strap I've ever used. I woudn't trade it for any I've seen anywhere else. I will agree that it's a little over priced, but still worth it.

I'm in the 6'4" range....I use the POTN strap with these (external link)...they make the strap perfect for carrying the body messenger bag style. Best < $10 purchase going!

6'0" here and fairly built upper body (broad shoulders, large chest)

I use an Upstrap.

Not very comfy around neck (I got used to it, cleans all the dead skin off the back of my neck :p), but when slung over shoulder (not across; a la messenger bag style)....dear god it HOLDS (no slipping), but wear a "strong" shirt, these thin Old Navy "3 for $10" tshirts get pulled down like nothing by the Upstrap.

Is the slippage the reason why you sling your camera over messenger bag style?

Wouldn't it be difficult to freely access and compsoe a shot if you wore your strap across your body (aka messenger bag style)?

Actually if you have the right length it can work as like a tension/balance, can't really explain but it works. I get no "slippage" with the POTN:)
I used to shoot Minolta and they had a perfect length pro strap, but I can't find em anymore. Think I'm gonna try those add on's for the POTN.
Thanks everybody

Thanks Woolburr, ended up getting those up-straps but from the Op-Tech website, just a little cheaper at 7.95:)
