i am trying to install dpp and i get this message anyone know what i need to do, i have done everything i can think of but now its doing my head in many thanks .

Hi there,

Try Googling it or searching on Microsoft - may give you a lead or at least an explanation. It seems to me that the installation will not go ahead as it is checking for something that it expects to be already available.

Try a custom install of the program giving you the problem - I had a similar issue and was able to install the program without any issues when I installed it by itself.

What OS, what computer?

If it's a mac, use pacifist to install, that's what I would do at least.

you might not be the administrator on your comp. usually that's the biggest thing after antivirus programs


I don't hate macs or OSX, I hate people and statements that portray them as better than anything else. Macs are A solution, not THE solution. Get a good desktop i7 with Windows 7 and come tell me that sucks for photo or video editing.

the coputer is windows xp sp2, dpp has been installed on this machine before but now for some reson it wont install all the programe it only installs part of it , i have tried custom install but still same message, cant find anything on canon website or google and microsoft
