how do you become a cps member?

You have to be a full time shooter.
Here is a link to a blog (external link) with contact numbers. There is no USA website. There is for Eur and Aus

Chris -

And the Cubbies got hammered too -- not a good day at the ballpark :(. I got my 400 back just after your phone call yesterday and I'll be at Jacksonville tonight and tomorrow giving it the litmus test. Fingers crossed!!

Jerry ~ Baseball is a game where only defensive players handle the ball and offensive players who hit successfully in only one third of their at bats are among the best in the sport.

Jerry - thanks for the reminder. I'm working tomorrow night's game, and if things don't turn around in today's match, tomorrow's event will see the Cubs fighting to avoid being swept.

It's a 1DMKIIN and it blew 59,860 actuations, which is WAY below what that shutter is rated for.

Wow..that is a very low number....put that in the letter to Canon when it goes in...200,000+ is not unheard of.

Then again it only cost you $0.0042 every time you pushed the shutter... :p

Use a program like Photo Mechanic or PS CS3. However, you can only check up to the MKIIN & 1DsMKII. The MKIII's are not able to be read by any program at this point. To my knowledge, only Canon can tell how many shots have been run thru the III's. If, I'm wrong, let me know :)

Photo Mechanic can show the actuation count on Canon pro bodies. In the default configuration, this field doesn't appear, so it needs to be added (under "Edit- Set Info Text").

There is also a Mac program called Exif Viewer that can show actuations (second image).

Non-pro Canon's can also be read with EXIF Viewer but the data need interpretation.

Thanks dennis! Just downloaded and used the exif viewer for the mac, just over 16,000 shots on my Mark II.
