Raul and Vanessa were married back in May but unfortunate circumstances precluded them from getting photos outside of the ceremony and reception. They asked me to do their shoot despite the fact that I've done portraits maybe three times in my life.

It was difficult to get them to duplicate the emotions they felt on their actual wedding day. I tried my best and they were forewarned that I've never done anything like this.

Here's a sample of what I shot. Any help or tips with PP would be great. The sky was smokey and foggy at the same time so if they lack "pop" that could be why...or my PP stinks.

These are really nice. 1, 4, 5 & 7 are tops for me.

#4 is one of the most lovely "dip" shots I have ever seen. Love it!

In #2 my eye gravitates towards the railing...

The shots all look great and your clients will be pleased!

stunning 4 & 5. I get alot of requests for reshoots of weddings too. (I live on a military base. Alot of people get married by justice of the peace & then wish they had more formal pix) I think the couple will love them!

Wow, that was an unexpected barrage of positive comments! Thanks everyone!

Tenoverthenose, despite the fact that your screen name eludes to you being a longboarder, I still agree with you. The rail is distracting. Unfortunately I only have two shots from that angle and they both had the rail...this one was least dominant but I liked the shot anyway. I have the same pose from a different angle and no rail but I just didn't like it as much.

Tatboats...I spent most of my life on Aliamanu Military Reservation. My dad was stationed at Schofield and Ft Shafter when I was growing up. I miss it so much...the water is 30 degrees colder in Santa Cruz!

Good stuff. Only issue with #8, is that the wall blends with her dress. Does not look likt here is a lot of separation.

Thanks Grego! That's what I'm looking for. I think I got a little too batch process happy and started to get lazy. I'll work on it in CS3.
