thanks! any more recent serial guys????

I had a first gen, sold it, then bought a new one a few months ago. Both performed flawlessly. I'll check mine current serial # later.

Probably not the thread for this, but I found 50mm a bit awkward on my crop camera. The Sigma 30mm would be my choice. It's sharp wide open, and not many lenses can claim that, including many of the Ls.

"Raw" is not an acronym, abbreviation, nor a proper noun; thus, it should not be in capital letters.

Just keep in mind that the Siggy 30mm is a DC lens, meaning it isn't meant for full-frame cameras. Though I heard that it will work with a bit of vignetting.

The 50mm is fine on all cameras.

I agree that the 30mm works better on a "crop-sensor" camera. When I had both lenses and a 40D, the 30mm was my most-used lens. Now that I have a 5D, I use the 50mm more than any other lens I own. Both the 30mm and the 50mm f/1.4 lenses have fantastic IQ. For that range, I would not get a Canon lens unless I could afford the Ls (35L & 50L). And even then, I might still stick with the Sigmas!

Thanks. I was hoping the bokeh would be more smoother by shooting at F2. I think I need to get closer to the subject to achieve that.

Wow, did you increase the vibrance or saturation? They are really popping out!

(In order not to repeat too much, I copied one picture here only, though I'm referring to the whole series.)

That's one brilliant series. The light is fantastic.

They remind me more of Contax Planar T* 100/2 shots than 135L.

As everyone has said, crisp, full of color...the shots are fun to look at. I LOVE this shot though. The expression on the guy's face, and the fantasy creeping out from his magazine/leaflet.....face and reading material don't match...LOVE it.
