From a recent wedding. They had all never smoked a cigar but did they ever have fun doing it!

so the next shot is all of them green faced from inhaling a cigar?

:D could not resist...

I just got my 50 back from sigma after calibration this afternoon and I am cautiously optimistic with the results so far.
I won't bore you guys with all the test chart shots, but it seems to still need plus 10 MA.
But sharpness and hallation seem much much better!

not the most artistic or scientific shots but just a test.
Both shots wide open and uncropped and only standard minor sharpening in pp.

First shot from mine (it'll eventually be a cyanotype...)

It's sharp - easily as good as my 35 1.4 although the AF is nowhere near as solid.

Totally feel ya, the AF really bothers me. Well, not saying it's terrible but I find myself wishing it was good as say, Canon USM.

It doesn't really bother me when the pics I'm taking look the way they do. You just have to make sure you use the lens within its limitations. If I want fast and accurate AF I'll use the 35 on my 7D but to be honest, this Sigma on my 1Ds blows the other combo out of the water. Lovely :)

Some shots from Cabo San Lucas, Mexico:

I got bored so I started wining.

Instead of paying exorbitant internet rates at the resort, I found this mom/pop internet cafe for much cheaper.

I decided to go do my own thing for a little bit before the ATV tour with Fuzz. I rode the local bus instead of the resort taxis. Their buses are the yellow school buses we have here but painted white. The seats are modified which seat the passengers with their backs to the window. The wooden square object to the right of the bus driver is where he keeps his change (and his cigarettes). Barely noticeable are what's written on the windshield. They write their bus stops on it.
