I have seen some great shots in here with the 50 and I will have mine this week. But one thing I noticed not many action shots can it shoot basketball?

There are far better lenses out there for action sports. The Sig 50 is a fantastic portrait lens but not the fastest to focus for action sports.

Actually I do not see why you shouldn't. Of course this is a lens for portraits but focus quite fast. So I do not see why you shouldn't be able to shot basketball. Have fun.

try press af-on (in strandard setting function)
it will smarter iq :p
i'm dying configure micro adjustment on my 5d2
but when i pres af on it focus fast and sharpsmart

That looks better eh? Hard to tell without 100% crops from your focus point but you can see the plane of focus on the fabric. These lenses HSM is a bit jumpy You definately have to take your time with it...I pump the AF 2 or 3 times usually to make sure focus is on.

Here's one from a trip I just got back from:....Wide open, with the 5Dmk2, No PP just converted to JPEG in DPP
