No doubt Matthew, that's a killer shot. Sometimes the most un-obvious scenes become art with the right shot. This would be one of them... :D

Thanks.....Nelson Nevada, A little Ghost-town south of Vegas. Just about everywhere you point your camera is a keeper. This was right after I sold my 50L and bought the Lux....Never looked back.

Hey guys, I got a Sigmalux today. I was gonna play with it a bit, but I had to do a test first, and...well, the CA is quite astonishing.

100% crop, no pp, focus on "ctrl"

Should I return it, or is it supposed to be this way?

I think that is perhaps from front focussing. I know when I Micro-adjusted my copy before I sent it in I could make the CA really bad by adjusting it to to much in front of the target

Well, those shots were from no micro-adjusting. After messing with the adjustments, I can't really get consistent results no matter what I try. Sometimes there's slightly less CA, sometimes not.

Don't worry, this is normal. You would get similar (or even worse) results with 50L or any other f/1.2-1.4 lens - purple CA at the front and green at the back highlights ;). This is the consequence of using a wide aperture, even 135/2L does it.

I think it is normal (i mean also mine has this issues sometimes); under f:4 you can get (depend on the contrast and amount of backlight) some CA and purple fringing.

I just tried to make mine get these results and it doesn't do it, I guess I'm lucky!
