Not as bad as yours, but still inconsistent between close and distance subjects. So I returned it and talked myself into spending for a 50L. Guess what? The 50L had the same problem but worse (front focus up close, back focus far away). I had it adjusted and it still was bad. So I got another Sig 50 and it was basically perfect. I compared it and the 50L and the Sig 50 focus was much better, locked better, and was faster.
