Artographied, I love the first one. She looks like a young Lillian Gish. No, I'm not dating myself--if I were old enough to remember that I'd probably be the oldest guy on the internet!

Really nice job.

I think she looks more like a young Sarah Bernhardt!

I have been reading through threads of info, and find all sorts of AF issues.
mine is i have to have +15ma for under 10 feet, then over 10 feet it is completely off.
Is this common issue that servicing will fix?

mine seems like that.

when i put it back to 0 anything over 10ft or so seems sharp again. i just put it at +10 as a happy medium.

i sent it in once already under warranty and it seems better. it needed more than +20 before.

might send it in again soon if it starts to bother me

Don't feel bad, I had one like that also at first. Not as bad as yours, but still inconsistent between close and distance subjects. So I returned it and talked myself into spending for a 50L. Guess what? The 50L had the same problem but worse (front focus up close, back focus far away). I had it adjusted and it still was bad. So I got another Sig 50 and it was basically perfect. I compared it and the 50L and the Sig 50 focus was much better, locked better, and was faster. I kept the Sig 50 and sent the 50L back, couldn't be happier.

After that, I got a 24L. It backfocused severely, off the MA+-20 range. Sent it back. Got another 24L, didn't need MA, but the focus was crazy-inconsistent; sent it back. Got a 3rd 24L, it backfocuses close up and front focuses (extreme) at infinity. Had the 3rd one adjusted by Canon, but it still isn't perfect, I wish it could focus like my Sig 50.

All lenses tried on 3-4 cameras and my main camera was checked by Canon 2x to be in specs. So, Sigma isn't the only company with bad copies out there (at this point, I've had more bad 'L' primes than Sigmas).
