looks like u got the sigma notorious focusing issue.. or user error that people blame on sigma anyways :P
one the 2 do few focus tests
2nd one looks sharper

Nothing is wrong with the lens, this was shot from a very close distance, no sharpening at all only resizing, and most of all ..all my lenses were extensively tested.

Closer than what Sigma 50 can handle, 45cm/17.7in ?
Because the image of the boy doesn't seem to be in focus anywhere.
