I just got the new finish serial# starting "12". Unfortunately it also suffers from front focus issue. But I knew this before I bought the lens. I will be sending the lens and camera body to Sigma for calibration. I know what this lens is capable of and willing to go through the hastle. By the way..... this thing is SEXY!!!! I will post a picture of it mounted on my T2i hopefully by tonight.

It's even sexier on the 7D alongside the Sigma 85/1.4 too!

all the time, jsut put in sigma vs canon 50mm 1.4 and tons will pop up :)
my observations between the 2, mine and my friends
sigma
+build
+bokeh
+color
+contrast
-quality control
canon
+ cheaper
+quality control
-bokeh = footballs

I agree, for me the 77 filter of the sigma is also a + because I own filters for my 17-40 and his filter is also 77.

Yes definitely another + there, I own a lot of 77mm filters and lenses too!

It looks huge :D Nice to see! The filter also adds a special feel to a lens in my opinion :)

Another thing too is the lens feels heavier than the body (T2i and battery).

Just imagine throwing the Sigma 85/1.4 on there, it WOULD be heavier!

Love my SIGMALUX though!

This piece of glass on the 20D is amzing! and on the 5D II...forget about it!

I notcied on the 20D the AF is jumpy once it hits focus and kind of rattles a bit. Is that normal?

Mine's suddenly gone to crap with regards to AF accuracy, it's either the lens or the camera body anyway (1Ds2, but it was fine with the 85mm on it). Time to send it in for a service I guess :(
