Mookalafalas, did you noticed any differences with your sigma when you switched over to the 5DII from the 5DC? ?

Yeah, they went out of focus:mad:
In general, not much change, though. Love my Sigmas...but perhaps felt I had better shots with the 5Dc, for some strange reason...

Sell your 5DII and buy back your old 5Dc. You know you want to. ;)
And yes, strangely enough, your pre-5DII images do seem to be more interesting on average.

A good photographer can take extraordinary photos anywhere, with any camera and any lens while a mediocre one will take mediocre ones everywhere, with every camera and every lens.
Never limit yourself with what others think you should do. Shoot what you find interesting, exactly the way you want to.

seriously. I always forget that the 50 isn't micro-adjusted on the 5d :)

in that shot I might have re-composed a bit.. should have manual focused... oh well.

Ouch! Don't really like to hear that, even if it's true:cry: I do miss my old 5Dc, but like the II as well. Just have to get out with it more. Seems like I'm just shooting all the same old stuff lately...

Might have something to do with the season and weather though, winter generally sucks for shooting, even in a warm country, due to different(like excessive humidity coupled with lots of rain and lower temperatures) weather.
I'm no different really, haven't made any worthwhile shots since the snow came down and fewer people started moving around on the streets. >.>
In fact the last time I did get images I was happy with (and there were oh so many images from that day) was just a few days before (more permanent) snow.
Looking forward to springtime, though I still consider fall the absolute best season for street photography, which I largely missed, 'cause when I sold my 400D and bought my 5D, I was without a camera for a week or two.

In your case it's a bit easier - just go out more, with your camera for the sole purpose of taking photographs. :P

Yeah! I felt like i had the same issues too. Sent mine out today and hopefully it comes back better. Seems like if i stop it down to f2, everything seemed fine but then i started getting focusing to infinity issues.

Did you send in both camera and body?

The GA location told me just the lens. I personally don't want to send in my body.

The Mark II has micro-adjust, of course. That stuff can get addictive and drive you crazy, however. Someone made a pretty funny video of a guy staying up for 36 hours shooting "focus charts" and wigging out...it's kind of true:lol:
