My 5dmk3 turns up in about 10 days and I can't wait to pair it with this lens....

any samples of the combo out there? how are ppl finding the AF?

Thanks man!! 1.4 goes a long way! Here's one of my girl yet not quite wide open...a mere 1.8. I really do like this lens. You can get get shallow Dof shots like these, yet it is sharp as heck stopped down a bit for shots of groups of people or even landscape.

I'll be joining this thread again once I sold my 17-40L and 35L replacing them by the 24L and the sigma 50mm! Damn I loved the sigma 50mm ^^ hope to get again a very good copy of this one.

Like a fool I'm giving Sigma another chance even though they couldn't calibrate the last 50 I had twice! I've bought a used one that's been tested on a few bodies so I'm told, lets see how this one turns out!!

Will post results when I get it next week sometime, worst case I just sell it onto someone with micro adjust.

Are there any stores near you that you can try it before you buy? I got mine online before and it was front focusing even after being calibrated so I returned it but next week I'm gonna buy it from a store where I live because they let you test it so you can get a good copy for your body!

sadly noone keeps them in stock and only order them in when you purchase, so I'm a little stuck for choice else thats what I would have done. Lets see how it goes, as I said I can always sell it on and wait till some more canon bodies come in.
