That's understandable. I like mine. Really enjoy the lens when I take it into PP. Surprisingly the only lens I liked shooting JPEG only with was my 24-70. I wasn't messing around with PP then, so now I'm learning it. My memory is horrible, so I have to use my book quite often.

I was ticked when I compressed the RAW to JPEG, because I ended up having to too it up more for posting. I decreased midtone contrast, shadows, and increased highlights. Then just did a simple sharpen.

My lens turned from a sour weak sauce into a sweeeeeeet lens in a weeks time through calibration.

Yeah, who cares about grade AAA juicy sirloin steaks and succulent chicken breasts. Highly overrated... unlike this lens

Dudes, you're making me reconsider buying this lens (even with it's 90% chance of softness) and just sending it to Sigma...

Damn guys.
I am uber jealous.
I wish I have the Sigma 50mm.
But at my age, I can't afford it. =(

I was very close to buying this lens. But the softness/need to send it to Sigma, put me off. It does seem super nice after calibration though. :)

as far as I know, it's not about softness issues.. that's the Canon.
It's more about FF/BF issues and if you have microadjust, you don't have to waste your time sending it to Sigma
