After several weeks of reading everything I can, (and finally getting my finances in order) I have purchased the 40d and 17-55 IS lens along with necessary accessories. Now I just have to wait until tuesday :D. My nerves are shot! HaHaHa

After pushing that very expensive buy button I had to get myself an extra large glass of wine  Talk about butterflies going crazy in my stomach! uggghh I won't be able to eat until it gets here. LOL

Just one glass of wine? Not bad.

How exciting - sounds like a terrific gear combo.

Better get used to it. From here on out it only gets worse.

Congrats on the purchase. Now the fun is going to really start!

I think I'll have a glass as well just for the heck of it. Plum wine for me.. Anyway, enjoy your new kit. The 17-55 paired with the 40D is about as perfect as can be.

Or more expensive.

I had to wait until I retired to get my 40D. Now I might have to go back to work to afford all the extra things I want.

Have fun with it.

That's why you only order items at the beginning of the week, so they get there quicker. I order a Sigma 180mm macro on Thursday, I'll get it Monday.

Your an occasional wine drinker so this purchase should be no problem. I love my 40D. Try out the Landscape mode. It is the major surprise of the 40D.
