Yeah Eastern Oregon is pretty nice I guess. It's got it's good and bad. At the moment the bad is that it is in the 100's everday and I hope you like wind!! The good is that there are rivers close by for fishing, boating etc... and you've got the mountains close too. Overall I like it fine but will hopefully be moving to Montana next year.

And yes, I suspect I will be buying a couple more lenses in the very near future. Just didn't really want to see such a HUGE bill first time around. Much easier to break up the buying so as not to shock myself to much with the amount of $$ I'm spending. :D

Congrats on the new purchase. You'll have lots of fun exploring photography with your new gear. You'll find plenty of friendly help here on POTN to help you learn about your equipment as well. Happy shooting.

It's so exciting waiting for new gear to arrive - gets me every time. And my cats love it when I rip open the wrappiongs, toss 'em oin the floor and stand there gazing in rapt contempklation at my new gizmo.

Enjoy the anticipation and the camera!

Enjoy the feeling! But know that like a drug it will take more to get that same feeling next time.

I got that feeling going from a P&S to a 300D, 5D, 1D2n and 1Ds3 in succession. But now that I have the 1Ds3 my next purchase, the 1D3, isn't that big of a deal and that feeling is gone. I'll need a medium format camera or perhaps wait for the Mk IV in order to get that feeling back. :)

I plan on keeping both myself. Love the 1.6X on the 40D which the 1Ds doesn't have. :p
