I have the tripod in the following link. What would I need to do to add a ball head to it?

I caught it inches from the ground after one of the legs unlocked itself. I took the camera off the tripod and walked the "tripod" to the alley and chucked it. It is not worth losing your expensive gear. Canon 40D

Most likely configuration would be to attach the ball head to the original head with a 1/4 to 3/8 adapter. However I'm going to have to echo the previous responses, I would barely trust my camera on one of these let alone with the added weight of a ball head. If your going to invest in a ball head do the right thing and invest in a good set of legs too. gear
