Hi All,

I need some help and advice. I've been shooting for a couple of years now mostly motorsport and wildlife and learning how to get the best from my kit (Canon).

I want to take a step forward and begin to learn how to using lighting correctly.

First question is, what kit should I buy? I'd like to have the ability to fire flashes remotely, but be very mobile etc.

Have seen products like pocketwizards, canon st-e2 etc. no sure the best route?

Flashguns suggestions?

Ideas and suggestions please!

Thanks
Andy

First suggestion would be to post your questions in the appropriate forum.
In this case, that would be Small Flash and Studio Lighting.

Don’t repeat your post now, moderator will take care of it shortly, but in the future remember that you stand the best chances to get the right answers if you direct your questions to the right place.

In the meantime, take a look at this site:

The Strobist blog is a great place to learn about off-camera flash, and lighting in general.

The various methods for triggering your lights all have their pros and cons. They're summarized here:
