I tried to use realistic HDR tone mapping on these to bring out shadow detail. Most were shot early in the morning, or late in the afternoon, so the sun angle was low and harch.

Nice work. I'd love to go there sometime. I used to model Rio Grande narrow gauge, and I've never been to the T&C or the Durango/Silverton.:o:o

ou did very well capturing all the subtle shades of gray on the Jordan Spreader. That was quite an accomplishment considering the strong lighting.

I'm not short. I'm concentrated awesome!

You're right, it is realistic! The way HDR should be done (And I'm one to talk...)
The first two look a little blurry, mind you, but it isn't that bad.

Thanks for the feedback all. These were shot handheld, and I had a difficult time getting some of them to align the three exposures. The result is the blur you see. When I have a couple of hours free, I'm going to try those blurry ones again and see if I can get a better alignment.

I like the last one the best except for the shadows casted over the trains.
