Looks like you did pretty well. What was your keeper rate, if you don't mind sharing?

Thanks.
Well it totally depends how you define keeper rate. But I would say with this
setup about 50% or bit more of the pics are in focus and in frame. I used
70-200 lens and I always try to zoom as close as possible as I hate cropping
in PP. Closer you zoom and "keeper rate" starts to drop as there are more oof
and out of the frame shots.

I know RC shooting is tough is why I asked. I'd like to give it another try. There is a track here in town is should check their schedule. Thanks for sharing the info.

Nice shots. I tried shooting some RC cars once and found it very difficult as fast as they were moving for their size. I used center point focus but missed focus more often than not trying to keep up with them.

I use center focus point as well when shooting RC cars. Sometimes the AF
just cant focus on time. There was so intense dust glouds around the track so
I had to stop shooting few times and wait the dust to settle a bit. Maybe that
is one reason for getting some oof pics. Next weekend Im going to shoot gas
powered on road cars so we'll see was the oof due to dust or just dummy user
