Has anyone found a market for putting a teams / league images in a book using maybe Mpix, Picaboo, MyPublisher, etc?

Just wondering if anyone has made and any of these and marketed them to a team or association?

I was thinking the younger kids or last year kids (last season before college) in a particular sport might have an interest in these.

Thanks.

I have looked into this somewhat but parents dont seem to want to spend $50 plus on a book that only has a few of their kids pictures and many of other kids. Im sure there are a few exceptions for very close teams and maybe for seniors but I have not found a market. Parents do like books that include all the pictures of their child and a team photo

I've done some for the Blitz and they were quite popular, mind you, winning a National Championship probably aids the desire for a souvenir. ;)

The easiest way is probably through iphoto if you've got it. I also use www.photobox.co.uk (external link) on occasions.

I've used the very simple (yet surprisingly decent quality) books from iPhoto, and also used this service:

Like anything else, the more customized you can make the final offering, the more you'll sell, usually.

For the most part, people prefer prints to books, unless it's a very special occasion you are commemorating. With prints, you can put them in your own photo albums, you can frame them, put them on your desk, show them in a digital photo frame, etc.. With a book - well, it's a book and will always be a book, and like most books, it'll probably end up on a book shelf or in a pile of books somewhere.

I do two high school softball teams they give them to the seniors as gifts and then other parents purchase them if wanted. It usually takes me one game to get all the shots. Next year one of the school wants me to do not only softball but baseball football soccer and field hockey. So there is a market out there.
