A surprise can be welcome, and yours really were different and unexpected. They're also moody, which is a plus.

Thanks. The response was in jest, but I was trying to take moody, attractive photos. :)

As a matter of fact Terry I did.. This bush has more moose than anywhere I know of. I took video of huge volumes of tracks in the snow.. But I don't think anyone is interested in just some divots in the snow without some kind of story to go along with it. I've seen a few of these moose on a few occasions. Moose sign and moose road signs are a normal thing where I live.

On my drive around yesterday morning I seen tracks of moose, fisher, pine marten, deer, wolf, weasel, fox, there was an eagle in a tree sitting over the river, and a bunch more little stuff. But they say you can't eat tracks.. Somedays you see everything others you don't. but its always fun to be out there.

'Scuse my ignorance, but what's a fisher?

The fisher is a small, carnivorous mammal native to North America. It is a member of the mustelid family. The fisher is closely related to, but larger than the American marten.
Bigger meaner Pine marten..

Thank you Pondrader. I'm not sure why I've never heard of them before (but then I'd never even heard of pine martens until I saw your photos). Do you have fisher photos?

Yes I have a few.. I’ve not had a good opportunity to shoot them the way I would like. Right time, right place .... Someday it will happen. They are very illusive. Fall of 2016 I had a fisher run off a hill and a crossed in front of me but the light was waining and they are dark.

Terrible I know but at least it’s on a road lol

Not like the other fishers then, who are often content to sit in one place all day with a rod and a case of beer!
