My first version I edited, with a few more of the brighter frames in the blend. I have come to really like the darker version quite a bit more..

I like them both, very muchly
If I'd only seen this I'd have given top marks.
The autumn colours make this special. A lovely landscape image with added extras

Nice shot. I was looking at it wondering when the last building inspector had passed it's safety certification<grin> when I suddenly saw the face. In looking it got me wondering if there are other faces involved in the structure...??? The pillars on either side of the opening almost look like...bones. And, I can almost make out a full-length figure on the camera-left wall. Or, I could be using my imagination too much!!!

Great perspective! Cool shot!

Building inspectors? Probably come from the same place as their wiring inspectors..... many an evening walk was accompanied by the sound of high voltage hums and light shows from jury rigged connections to over head lines.
Back to the gate, there are indeed four faces in the tower that face in four directions. You can see two of the profiles in the following crop

It's quite a common style of Khmer architecture with probably the best example being Bayon Temple which has, if memory serves, about 200 faces in the structure.

Yes! I can definitely see the profiles in the cropped shot!!! I was wondering about those parts of the structure. Thanks for the followup info!

These are some of my favorite types of structures to see. I hope to some day get to see them up close. Thanks for sharing.
