Excellent timing on getting the perfect shot! Absolutely beautiful!!

If you look at the screen from a very narrow angle from the left hand side you can just see it Charles. It's up the slight rise to the right about 50 yards into the lane mate.

My ambition for a good while is to grow old disgracefully. So far my wife tells me that I am doing really well!

Now I am totally confused. I have no idea what you think I am supposed to be looking for!

Jurke was the poster for the shot I was commenting about for his beautiful sunset....

My friends were moaning about how bitterly cold it was when it dropped to a mere 18°C (64°F) a few years back!

That happens here in Darwin too. Freezing point here is 20C. That's when the kids start saying, "It's freezing out there. I don't wanna go to school!" I remember one day a few years ago the max temp only got to 18C (average max in July, our winter, is 32C). A lot of complaining that day!

Still waiting for the wisdom they promised would be worth getting old for.

Charles I think John was replying to your query here POST 19155764
I went back for another look at the picture. I did not see a house on either side anywhere!?!?!?!?
But he's linked it to Jurke's post.

Water freezes at 20 C and boils at 120? You'd need a special kettle up there :p

Years ago we were touring outback Queensland. Came across a bitumen gang all with their Bluey coats (thick felted wool coats)
We were shorts and T shirts and still hot!

I'm sure I'd be the same in a Tassie summer Richard.

I'm looking at those centreline markings and wondering how safe they are.
Looks a bit dangerous to pass in those reverse curves, but the markings appear to indicate okay.

Could be wrong, but I think the roading budget determines where they put the double yellow lines - I have a feeling they look at seriously dangerous places & figure that no-one in their right mind would attempt an overtaking manoeuvre at that point, so they spend the painting budget at places where some not-too-clever folks might just have a go...
Must say there are some wonderful pieces of roading in the south island - hope to sample some of them in January & might even take the camera with me.

some fairly old canon camera stuff, canon lenses, Manfrotto "thingy", and an M5, also an M6 that has had a 720nm filter bolted onto the sensor:
TF posting: here :-)

I would like to think the markings are to allow you to cross the center so you can kiss the apex of the first right when “pressing on” but suspect that excuse probably wouldn’t fly very far when one’s collar is felt by plod. It does look a great piece of road to drive / ride.

DUTCH APPLE WHAT!

It's got to be tarte tatin mate. And totally traditional as long as it ain't dropped on gravel, just a nice clean floor.

SWMBO always comes out with me, it's just a struggle for her to keep up the pace at times. You just can't get the staff
