On this road the taxes are quite low.

Tamron 70-300 mm f/4.5-6.3. On my first day of playing with it I wanted to see if I could use it in twilight, and was happy to see that I could.

Trail Ridge Road 2 years ago on June 6, the day after it opened. Big snow year that year.

I like the curve of the road, nearly an S. I love the layers of hills as it goes to the background, and the change in colors is beautiful.
The sky looks a little... maybe over-processed? and I really can't wait for the magic 'remove all power-lines' button. I know they're important, but they're distracting.

All in all though, I like the shot! I think the choice in focal length was a good one.

Truly I say this.
I took this when surveying it to move it to higher ground :-P

The intersection was just over the crest of a sharp hill and sight distance was one way only and cars flying over the hill at speed and ......
So, yes, we had to lift the road up out of harms way :-P
