About 100 yards from where I live! Some 'intelligent' people just don't know just what a corner is!

Only a couple of months back some careful driver managed to go off in the same place and demolish part of the low dry stone wall, but that was onlly an upholstered roller skate called a F 500 or something?

Some people just don't realise that you can't go round a corner in a straight line

My ambition for a good while is to grow old disgracefully. So far my wife tells me that I am doing really well!

That isn't just a result of bad driving. Looks like intentional vandalism to me.

How close was this to your property? How sad the way people dis-respect other peoples property any more....

Our across-the-street neighbor was moving into their house with a hired moving service. The truck driver backed up into our side yard clear across the street, mind you, and ran over some raspberry bushes of ours. We ran out immediately and pointed out their dumb mistake. The driver replied "Oh, I thought those were just bushes." Like that even makes a difference. Complete idiots. We've been trying to get restitution ever since.

I do hope you can get the restitution.

Probably not David. That road is the A429 and a very busy road. 3 miles further down is a junction for the M4 motorway and we get some real clowns driving through the village at ridiculous speeds.

We walk.just to the left of that grey lamp post most days when we go out for our walks and it's frightening at times to see the level of stupidity at times?

Charles, we live up a small cul-de-sac that goes past the other side of the house on the top right. About 80 or so yards away from that road. Just far enough that we don't really hear much of. About the only things we really hear are the inordinate number of emergency vehicles 'dee-daaing' through and noisy silly motorcyclists. Before anyone starts jumping up and down that's not all of the bliers, just the ones you can hear coming from a couple of miles away. At weekends there are LOTS of them! I suppose it's a case of "empty cans make most noise"?

We walked out past there a little earlier and I realised that if the 12 wheeler crane, that's what caused it all, had got about another 6' it would have taken that lamp post out!

Someone's CCTV picked it up on the way past and recorded the speed of 35 mph. It's a 30 limit and I only traverse both that and another corner just back a couple of hundred yards at 30. Any more is a bit too fast for a normal car and too fast for any lorries of any size!

The crane must have been similar to this?
