THAT looks like a toy crane to me!!! That would be what maybe 12 inches in length??? :p :p :p

Could be Charles. After all it can only lift 80 tonnes and reach a max of 75 metres  I'll see if I can send you one for Christmas mate :-P

But don't go round the bend too quickly

Oh Boy!! That will be fun to drive!! You said the speed limit on your road was 30 MPH if I remember correctly, so I promise NOT to go over THAT speed limit with that 12 inch long crane!!! <grin>

Will I have it by Christmas Eve?? ;-)a;-)a

QUOTED IMAGE

Have you ever driven down this road? Do you know how many miles it is when you would get to area 51? Does the road continue past area 51?

Yes, I drove down only a short way. I think it's about 11 or 12 miles to the mountains in the distance and another 12 or so miles to the base. Before you get there, there are signs warning you that if you go beyond that point, security can use deadly force. You will definitely be arrested. There is also security sitting in a vehicle overlooking the area watching you as you approach. There are also sensors in the ground and listening devices that know you are approaching. There is also another road further up the highway called the "back gate" that also goes to Area 51. There are videos on youtube of people driving down the road. You should definitely check them out. They're very interesting. Also, if you've never looked at Area 51, go to Google Maps or Google Earth. Also, very interesting.

I wonder if they are hiding something :rolleyes::rolleyes:

Only kidding as the authorities would NEVER hide anything from the public. Oh, there's another pig just flew past my window

A832 'Destitution Road' in Wester Ross, Scotland. The magnificent, although sadly lacking sunlight, An Teallach on the horizon

A quick grab of the road through the Quiraing on Skye. Had to get this out of the window from a passing place; in retrospect, I wish I'd moved the frame down by about 5% but I still like how it came out

And a more prosaic shot of the little road that leads into my local hills in Northumberland

I've driven to the back gate. About 10 miles down another dirt road which brings you to a nondescript swingarm gate with a lot of signs posted, but no real security presence to speak of. Not much of interest to see there, though plenty of people were driving right up to the gate area.

No, nothing to see. I guess it's the mystery of the place and to say you've been there.
