We've got one similar at the very top of Door County, in Wisconsin, USA. Known as the Curvy Highway, Route 42T.

It never saw development. Image hosted by forum (1174550) © avondale87 [SHARE LINK] THIS IS A LOW QUALITY PREVIEW. Please log in to see the good quality stuff. Lorinna is a bit of a Shangri-la. A valley deep in the interior and for years only accessed by narrow windy and at times dangerous road. It is now served by a modern access that is very steep but a lot safer. Beautiful place if you like isolation

Beautiful place if you like isolation Nice! I am planning a tour around Tassie early next year. - Probably February or March, once the Christmas / New Year crowds have gone home. I think that I'll put Lorinna on my list of places to visit. Larry

Certainly attractive bit of road. Very nicely composed photos Yes, it's alpine vegetation on a road up to Mt Egmont.
