What do you think of these two of my friends volvo S60? Never really shot cars before, but this was an okay attempt I think, except for the lightpole from the top of the car in the second, what do you think?

The first one is very nice. Good prespective. It looks like you choose the right time of day and the exposure looks good too. You might want to clone out the two postto the right though. You said it about the light pole and wind mill in the second one. Good job.

The lighting is nice in both. The sky is nice in number two; clone out the two big distractions.

I used to be an engineer for the trans supplier (Aisin AW) for the S60; one of my test vehicles was a 2001 S60 T-5. Most people don't realize how fun these car are to drive.

Good light on it.

You might want to clone out the two post to the right though.

Why shoot a crop that includes the posts? What do they add to the image? I usually say, "I'd like to see more room at the front of it than at the back? Give it some room to move into?", which would have taken one of the posts out of the shot & moving a touch to the right might have eliminated the 2nd one.
#2: I'm wondering what it would have looked like if you'd moved the car down the road to the left to get rid of the fence?

Thanks....well if were to move down it would've included a light pole and some other stuff, so i figured the two posts were better!

for the second, the fence goes all the way around, but if i got down to where all those cars were it might've been better..if the cars weren't there

That has the GM four-speed trans. Volvo dropped it for the current generation S80 and went to an Aisin F21++ 6-sp. Same powertrain as the new LR2/Freeloader 2. A transverse I-6 engine + transaxle = packaging issues. The accessories on the new 3.2 I-6 are mounted/driven in some pretty creative ways.

I wouldn't mind a V70 with a manual trans...maybe a V70R. ;)

It has 6 gears so i'm not sure how it can be a four speed. It's manual.

Yeah, they are definitely sleepers. I drive a 2001 S60T5 with a stage III BSR kit. 320hp and abundance of torque. Brakes and suspention also upgraded with EBC/Yellowstuff and Koni/H&R. 60 to 100 mph in third (manual 5 speed) in six seconds.

Nice photos and nice car. I like the one with the windmill the most, but I would clone out the flood light or whatever it is (and leave the windmill). Funny license plate. :)

Yeah, what is that, one of 10 S80s with a manual trans? Never saw one, even when I was hanging out at VCNA out in Joisee.
