Anyone have any thoughts on the Cactus/Gadget Infinity Triggers? (http://www.gadgetinfinity.com …oductid=16766&cat=0&page= (external link))

I could get everything I needed for $80. If I went the Skyport route, it would be $480 and I would sell my Canon ST-E2 and pay the difference (around $300).

I have a set...and so far, no problems whatsoever!

Thos are the RX triggers. You need universal.

They make two sets. The RX triggers and the Universal trigger. The RX triggers are to fire elinchrom's RX monolights. The Universal triggers are designed to fire any light. The RX's have additional features built in for their lighting system.

My village called. I was told that they missed me.

Speedotron users, untie!

thanks for the info, I mistakenly assumed the RX just meant 'receive'. I could have made a pretty big error there.

What is wrong with your ST-E2? Since you already got it, why not give it a try first. From your sample picuture, since the flash and your camera should be fairly close to each other, chances are St-E2 will work just fine.

I don't have extensive experience with ST-E2, but I think it only has problme in strong sunny day and when ST-E2 is far aways from the slave. Other than that, my ST-E2 experience has been good so ar.
