Hey
I am fairly new to photography and will soon be looking to buy a flash so I will be able to shoot in low light conditions. Upon looking the the stickied threads about I see nothing three with te best "how to" books for lighting. I am looking for either books, online readings, dvd's or other means of running over the basics of lighting. Could everyone post up some links?
Greatly appreciated,
-aaron

I do agree that we could use a sticky sort of like the lens archive but of flashes...

For how to use them though I would recommend strobist or some googling much less lurking around here some more...

There's a whole hoola of information listed here

EOS flash Sticky

Although none of them links to books.

For books, I'm not flash/lighting expert, but I found

Lighting for Portrait Photography by Steve Bavister
The Moment It Clicks by Joe McNally

Very instructive indeed.

I will second you might want to drift over to www.strobist.com (external link) and also join over at the flicker group for strobist as well.

Lots of good information on how too and what is the next step.
