unfortunately, i didn't get to go the the game this past weekend, but while i was watching on TV i saw 2 people using, what looked like, a canon 70-200 lens (white).

i was hoping they frequent this forum, but i am sure we would have seen some pics by now.

Funny you say that, I saw the same thing. But I was wondering how they got intot the ball park with that kind of lens. I have been reading on stadium parks and most of them say no lens longer than 6". I know those are longer.
Well I am a long time Cubs fan, and a spent many days at Wrigley and the old Comiskey parks. It would awesome for the Cubs and Sox to be in the World Series.
Chicago would go NUTS !!!
Life would be good.
But I would like to see those photos as well.

yea, that is one reason i dont want to bring my camera to the ball park. last thing i want to do is have them make me walk my bag back to my car.
i have seen people with backpacks let in with no problem...

why does a 6 inch lens matter?

thanks.

I know at Fenway, as long as it's fits into a small backback, you can bring in pretty much anything. A couple of people in here have brought their MkIII's and a 100-400 lens in.

wow, thats a big lens.

i have no seen a 100-400 in person, but i would suspect that it is double the size of my 70-200mm.

I've used my 100-400 at Wrigley on a number of occasions with no problem.

i would not want that to happen cuz it will suck so bad when the cubs lose. :p
