A flavour of the day - a fantastic couple to shoot and easily one of my favourite venues. Turned out to be a lucrative wedding as I've already booked 4 guests and 2 other couples that are friends of theirs for 2008/9:

Wow, absolutely fantastic images, I really like all of the B/W you've done here. Fantastic couple to work with, which is always nice! Wonderful job!

Cracking stuff. You've really got under the skin of the wedding and conveyed the true event.

Particularly nice b/w conversions - what method do you use if you don't mind me asking?

Thanks John.

The shots are all Nikon D3, mainly Nikkor 24-70/2.8 but a few Nikkor 50/1.4 and maybe an 85/1.4 and 14-24/2.8 from memory. For the conversions I used Lightroom 2 Beta which seems to suit D3 files better than Aperture (the opposite of 5D files IME). I just converted to grayscale, added a little contrast and clarity, and that's it. Otherwise the only PP used was cropping if needed, some post-crop vignette and sharpening.

Thanks Radiohead. I was interested because they just look spot-on. Far better than I would expect from Photoshop conversions.

No problem. Truth be told it surprised me as to how well they come out.

Great series but the image posting limit is 8 embedded images per thread.
You may of course post a link to the gallery or to individual photos. You may not embed more than 8 per thread.

Bless the recently fallen and their family and friends.
I have a Cannon with me at all times. You can't take the shot if you don't have something with which to shoot.
