I am looking for a remote shutter release cable for the 40D. I had the RC-1 cable when I owned my XTi and it worked for the most part but it isn't compatible with the 40D.
Can anyone suggest a cable. Do I have to go with the $60 Canon version?

Oh, and Adorama has their own version, which is a little cheaper. There's another person on here, that sells the radio transceivers...try searching for TeamSpeed (I think that's him/her). Bought the Canon genuine one and no dramas. I know some ppl have good copies of the cheapies, just my experience. "Interesting. You're afraid of insects and women. I leave for my honeymoon in 10 days I ordered mine from TS on a Tues and got it on Thurs. Ships from Indiana. He ships every day I think. I'd ask him to be sure he can get it there that quickly to be sure, but I doubt it would be a problem. Derek
