If you switch on your G2 to shoot photos (not to playback) with the LCD display panel open and you have the power cord plugged in the welcome jingle seems to get interference... at least that is the case with my G2! Comments?

What can be the logic in that? Remote capture. See pages 52-56 in the Software Starter Guide. You can use ZoomBroswer to take a picture with your G2 when it is connected to your PC. The picture is automatically saved on your PC, not the memory card.
