Wanted to introduce myself. Avid wanna-be photographer with no skills and no experience :) I love taking pictures with my old Canon 5mp point and shoot. Problem was my wife was always asking me why I had taken pictures of clouds, trees, flowers, plants, etc.

I finally decided to get a decent setup and take some local classes soon and read as much as I can.

I picked up an XSI today and boy am I excited. Just starting to look it over, but will post picks down the road and wanted to thank the members for all the great info.

Hello Josh! I read your post and thought to myself, "that's exactly where I was a couple of years ago." Congratulations on your new purchase, but be warned, if you're going to hang around here, make sure you hide the credit cards!!!

I'm in a similar boat....except I got the XTi and even splurged on some equipment that my hubby felt I "needed" (I truly love moods like that!).

Can't wait to go thru allllllllll the fabulous information on these boards and get to know some of you better!

I get those complaints from friends and family all the time. They see pictures of buildings, the sky, and trees and wonder if I'm a social introvert. At least with digital it's not costing you anything, so snap away!
