I have tried to make an HDR image of this Lighthouse, but haven't had much luck. That it, until tonight. I read Robert Lay's tutorial at http://www.zaffora.com:80/W9DMK/UsingHDR.htm (external link). Now, I am happier with the results but felt I needed to put my views in check with the critique of others. Any comments or critique is greatly appreciated.

I like it too, mostly because you went easy on the HDR and it came out great.

Interestingly enough, this image looks more dull on my laptop at work. I haven't calibrated either one, so I hope the one at home is more accurate.

Drag the image to your desktop and open it in an app that respects color profiles and see if that helps.

Kirk,
Thanks for the advice. Unfortunately, it didn't seem to make a difference. I will look at it on another computer tonight.

Thanks Pizdous!

Concerning the dullness of the image on my work computer - I have looked at it on my other home computer and it looks fine. Perhaps it is just the work computer.

This goes to show you can put HDR to use very realistically...
