I don't really like shooting at car shows much but I tried something different...

It's hard to get great shots at a car show. I think you made the right choice by trying to find interesting elements to shot. I love shooting details, shows are great places to do that.

I think if you had shot from the door panel towards the wheel and shot tighter the images would have had more imact. You could have included the emblems on the quarter panels and narrowed your DOF. Great thinking and nice job.

I'll try to remember in the morning to post a link to a shot of an example.

Good ones.
Pick out one car & try to cover it & make it look good. It beats watching "The Hoff" re-runs? :D

Yeah I cropped that a little I hoped no body would notice. That's why I don't like car shows.

I gave this car's owner my card and hopefully I will get the chance to photograph this car in a better setting.

I'd love to post a shot of the rest of the car, but I didn't take any. I do have a few shots of each car but they are similar to the ones I posted.

The reason I don't like car shows is because of the forced backgrounds, not much creativity and I hate having other cars in my shots so I don't really just photograph the entire car.
