Hello all!

I took this photo at a friend's wedding, and it is easily my favorite one. How can I improve it? I'm not sure what kinds of effects (if any) should be applied. Thank you!

I would crop it, play with the curves and levels then sharpen it, all in PS. If you had 'image editing ok' then i would post my result up.

Thanks, Brizboy! I'm having a hard time fixing the color w/o losing the blue sky. I'd like to get it so that the bride's face was more dominant that the groom's white tux.

Is this a photo that would work better as B&W? I'm concerned about that white tux.

Shadow / highlights tool would lift the shadows.
Curves can be used to lighten the shadows more, sky can be pegged on the curve so that they are unaffected.

Well the good news is your whites are white, :D. Fill flash or reflectors should have been used initially, but now all you can do is PP as mentioned above.

Perhaps fill flash?

Use layers to bring up some lighting on the faces in the party. Then follow your heart on the rest. Very nice photo!!!

Thank you all for the suggestions!!

I didn't use a flash since I was a guest, but they weren't happy w/their photographer (engagement shoot didn't go well), so I brought my camera just in case. I'm thrilled I got the shot since the groom kissing her hand was completely unexpected, so I'd like to finish it up as a gift. :)

I'll give your suggestions a try. Thanks again!

So here is my go at it. It was time consuming to remove the minister in the photo, but I like it better.

What I see is an image that is fully 1/3rd sky. None of the people come above the thirds line. Crop just to the left of the brides bare shoulder and just to the right of the best man's flower, keeping 2/3 ratio.

The faces can be easily brought up - I use Ying/Yang from Totally Rad Actions.

Well, I was a guest, so from where I was sitting, it was either sky or the back of someone's head. :) I'll work on fixing the shadows in the faces, though.
