I'm thinking of operating a photo booth during a wedding. I did one previously where the photographer setup a aluminum T-structure with a nice grey drop cloth. Fortunately, the booth was under a low roof which had potlights from above, so all I had to do was shoot.

-- Where can I purchase a similar setup? (make model).

-- What type of lighting is recommended if I'm not blessed with the above lighting setup?

-- I used an Epson Picturemate Dash. It was great, but had limited cropping controls and is somewhat slow. Are there any better options?

Thx very much.

Sabesh.

Funny you should ask that. I do 2 Picturemates with the CF card reader so I can just print from the card. This makes taking the picture very important the first time, very little PP. Have you thought of just bringing a backdrop frame and set up with 2 speedlites and a ST-E2? That may work You can add reflectors or a softbox as well. Get that done early and set up your camera and then I sometimes have the long remote and let the people take their own shots. :)

Makes me wonder if you ever get any silly faces/ unappropriate gestures on those pictures...if you let them take them themselves...lol!

I set up one for a party using a 5D, a laptop, cordless release, and a flash. I let people shoot it themselves...

You can still be there to monitor, and ask not to waste the paper & ink.
