Back in April my house was broken into and all my gear stolen, 20D + tokina 100mm macro lense, 17-85, 430EX flash, batter grip, nice case, and crap.)

i now got my new gear, 40D, 60mm Canon Macro (100mm was sold out :() so settled for the 60mm

now that i have it, i am noticing the rather big difference in distance i must get vs my old 100mm macro, so will take some adjusting, as i get some new pic's taken i will post away here, i do eventually plan to get the mpe-65 so the 60mm will be good practice i guess for now.

Now before my gear was stolen i hadnt really done any photo's for 2-3 months, was really depressed and alot of work, but since i was robbed i moved places, got new toys (new 34' LCD tv, new camera, new computer) so things are looking up.

so first shot with my new Macro since getting back from Toronto, my home town, from vacation:

Garden in the back has ALOT of crickets, so they may be come my new subject matter for alot of pics, along with leaf cutter ants.

i have done some PS post processing on various images.

Das Cricket!
