G9 lcd going black while recording

Has anyone experienced the lcd scrren going black while recording? It's happened a few times where I'm recording in high res & after several minutes the screen will go black, sometimes it comes back on but it still records.

I believe the LCD has a powersaver mode. Have you checked your settings?

Great. I think you're right. The instructions says the LCD will turn off 1 minute after the last control is accessed, even if Power Down setting is on Off. That's why it kept recording (page 45).

The instructions also say the longest length movie it will record on Hi Res is 4GB. Has anyone tried recording on an 8GB card on High Res? If so, did it stop at 4GB or did it record more? Just curious.

Yes, i can confirm that it'll stop recording when the 4GB limit is reached, regardless of the space left on the memory card.
